Birthday's in Michigan

The boys were fortunate to celebrate their birthday's several times this year! Josh had his original party at the beach and then partied again in Michigan with both sets of grandparents! Ben had his early party in Michigan and then had his party at home on the 21st. Not a bad deal!

It's my birthday!!


Ben loves 'Cars'! It was the birthday theme this year and last year. He has this poster in his room now and also a 'Cars' rug from Mema. He also got the game 'Sorry'.


His race cake! I think the audience is cute, if I must say so myself. :-)

Ready for a game!

Lizzie and Ben liked my socks I wear at softball so much that they wanted to try them out for themselves! Josh, on the other hand, decided to be shy and hide in the pillows.

We are back home!

The kids and I made it back from Michigan on Friday. During the middle of the trip I realized we were travelling on Friday the 13th, but I quickly tried to forget about it. I guess it's good that I'm not real superstitious. Despite the date, we had a good trip home and made better time than our trip up. The kids were excellent and Lizzie and Ben were treated to the movies today with Tim. They went to see Ratatouille. They liked it!!

4th of July

Here are pictures at my brother's house on the 4th. We had fun, food and fireworks and a grass fire, but we're all fine. ha ha ha My brother's and friends were shooting their guns so I took a try. Look out, she's armed!




Anyway, the kids are oldest to youngest from top to bottom: Emily, Lizzie, Kaitlyn, Benjamin, Shaylin, Hayley and Josh. Grandchild #8 will arrive in September to Chris and Veronica, Shaylin's mom and dad, my brother. :-)

We Made It!

The kids and I made it to Michigan safely on Saturday night. It took us 11 and a half hours. The kids were amazingly good! Thank the Lord!! Lizzie and Ben did lots of relaxing once they realized that the seats they were in reclined. Josh just watched shows and played with a random toy every now and then. He finally let me know he had enough-by screaming loudly-when we were about an hour and a half away from my parent's house. We let him pick the shows after that. :-) Lots of Backyardigan's!

We all did playing and catch up with family on Sunday and then the tiredness from travel caught up with us on Monday. We took advantage of naptime. :-)
